Motor Vehicle Accidents and Commercial Truck Collisions

Generally, civil actions involving a motor vehicle are based on allegations of negligent or wanton behavior. Negligent behavior is the failure of another driver to use due care in the operation of the motor vehicle. Wanton behavior is acting in a grossly negligent manner to the extent of being recklessly unconcerned with the safety of people or property. For example, choosing to operate a motor vehicle at far above the speed limit on a slippery road may amount to more than mere negligence. Understanding the difference is important because it can impact the types of damages and recovery allowed.

In each case, liability must be assessed along with other legal issues involving damages. Tommy and Kenny practice motor vehicle litigation. Kenny has also written articles and delivered lectures on topics such as "Preparing The 18-Wheel Truck Case From The Plaintiff's Perspective.", "Liquor Liability in Alabama" and "Gathering Evidence That The Driver Was Intoxicated". He serves on the American Bar Association's 18-Wheel Truck Litigation Group.
